In the United States, the use of lasers on the gums was first approved by the Food and Drug Administration in the early 1990s. Soft tissue laser was incorperated to our practice from Oct 2012. We have used it to treat various dental diseases and problems including gum disease. The success rate was treamendous. Our 980nm DC diode laser is used mainly to treat gum inflammation and perio diseases by reducing the baceterial level and laser curettage.  It can also:

Whitens teeth

Desensitizes teeth

Treat hepetic lesions and Aphthous Ulcers

TMJ pain

Soft tissue abnormality in mouth
